About gamabhana

General Overview:

Need for phonetic editing has its roots in different keyboard layouts developed and used by different users and multiple fonts which in combination failed to produce unique easy to use compatible typing/editing solution. The problem is more in the area of software solutions being developed for different Indic Languages. Web based Direct editing or phonetic editing is an implementation which allows user to type in the context using phonetic key patterns across different keyboards, browsers and different Indic scripts.

Forum

This is a forum, open for all of you to discuss different issues related to gamabhana. You can provide suggestions, report bugs, enhancements and share experience, flaws, pitfalls. This will make developers and users to get on same page and streamline the process in future scope.

Extras

gamabhana is widely being used by individual developers and end users in its basic form. There are addons and plugins as well that use gamabhana and provide featured web components.

We are happy to present you with Firefox extension of gamabhana. Now, you can enjoy features of gamabhana within your Firefox browser. Few simples steps, and gamabhana is part of your firefox browser!

  1. If you already have gamabhana firefox extension, disable it and then uninstall.
  2. Download following attachment to your computer.

Drupal 5 module - Official release.

This is official release by gamabhana for Drupal 5 module. Download the module from the link present at the end of this post. Extract the contents from zip file after downloading, and then use folder "gamabhana" (and not gamabhana5) for your module.

Same set of instructions specified as for Drupal 6 module can be followed with minute differences in look and feel and other additional settings. This, Drupal 5 module also provides rich text editor.
